There have been so many times lately where I have wondered why the hell something is done the way it is. I can’t tell you the number of times I have questioned what’s going on around me. The reality is that crazy crap is happening all around us and captured so well on failblog.org. Nobody highlights all the dumb mistakes that people make better then  FAILblog, which lets the normal man laugh at others stupidity. Check it!

buy.com

Ok so I am struggling a bit to figure out how to write this and not make it sound like an advertisement. On this Friday edition today’s site is buy.com. I know right, you’re saying but Yo! this is an online shopping site! Yes, you’re correct, but it has also been one of the very best online shopping sites I have had the pleasure of using over the last 15 years. They are super reliable, they have a very good selection, and their prices are reasonable. Lets put it this way, if you have ever bought anything at a local electronics store, you need to change your habits and checkout buy.com. I have yet to find anything at a local store that rivals the prices I have been able to get online. So if there is something you are looking to buy, why not start out with buy.com first?

I must admit it… one of my guilty pleasures is dining out. However in this day and age it is not always an option to dine out, which is where today’s site is so handy. Copykat.com takes restaurant favorites and turns them into very comparable home recipes. The selection of recipes ranges too from Sonic fast food to Cracker Barrel to Olive Garden. Using copykat.com will save you money, often times provide better service then you’ll get at many of these restaurants, and provide you some great delicious tasting food.

Have you ever been stuck and needed inspiration? One of the resources I use to combat being stuck when I am doing web stuff is a totally awesome site called smashingapps.com. Smashing Apps does a great job of putting ideas together in convenient lists and this saves me both time and frustration. Their tag line is “free and useful resources for designers and developers” and it couldn’t be more right or appropriate!

So I have a bit of a confession to make. I once was a major MMORPG (Massively multiplayer online role-playing game) guy. I know big surprise right? Well I still love gaming and appreciate all sorts of odd situational game humor, I just don’t spend the endless hours playing anymore like I used to. Anyways enough about me, today’s site is watchtheguild.com which is an independent online sitcom that follows a group of online gamers and makes humor out of all of the stereotypes related to online gaming. Not only that but it stars Felicia Day, who is so totally nerd hot! So if you were ever wondering what its like to raid dungeons all day with a bunch of strangers (or if you just want to laugh about your gaming habit) check out The Guild.

After a few days out of town Yo! Totally is back with a Monday morning edition. Today we’re featuring a site that is super useful and I find myself using it often when asked where is a good place to start online when trying to find current information on a specific topic. The site is alltop.com and was started by Guy Kawasaki. Alltop positions itself as an “online magazine rack” of popular topics, and boy does it ever deliver. Some of the topics I have used Alltop for include “product management“, “Hip Hop“, “Cars” and “Marketing
